Economic Empowerment

Building an economy that works for everyone

More than big-box stores
Support local
Jobs close to home
Strong + resilient
Community-driven
Future-focused

Too often, I hear people from outside say Spruce Grove is “just a big-box shopping district.” I believe they simply haven’t had the chance to explore the real heart of our city, beyond Highway 16.

Spruce Grove is home to innovators, makers, artists, entrepreneurs, and countless hardworking people who keep our community thriving. As a second-generation business owner, I know firsthand how important it is for our municipality to support economic stability, whether that’s through streamlined permitting, tourism initiatives, or shop-local programs. I also deeply value being able to work close to home, and I believe the more jobs we create near families, the stronger our community becomes.

A healthy economy is about more than numbers. It’s about people. That means supporting entrepreneurs who build local jobs, artists who enrich our culture, athletes who bring us together, and volunteers and caregivers who ensure no one is left behind.

Resiliency is in our DNA, but with smart planning, we can build even greater economic independence, reducing the effects of external ups and downs. Diversification, strategic investments, and an inclusive vision will allow us to create an economy that works for everyone, not just a few.

My goal is to help build a future-focused, community-driven, thriving business sector. And I want to hear from you: What does an economy that empowers you look like? Let’s chat.
