Thriving & Healthy City

Engineering a city where everyone can move, connect, and thrive.

A thriving, healthy city doesn’t happen by accident, it’s the result of intentional planning, community input, and policies that prioritize people.

While healthcare itself falls under the Province, municipalities play a key role in creating the conditions for residents to live well. That means advocating for healthcare accessibility, designing walkable and safe neighbourhoods, investing in recreation and cultural opportunities, and ensuring everyone, regardless of age or ability, can safely and comfortably enjoy our community spaces.

When people have access to parks, trails, recreation, arts, and community spaces that are thoughtfully designed and easy to navigate, they’re more connected, active, and engaged, all essential ingredients of a thriving city.

My Priorities for a Thriving & Healthy Spruce Grove
Community Recreation for All

I’m proud that our community now enjoys an incredible new skatepark and a recreation facility, but our work isn’t done. We need to continue evaluating the amenities inside these facilities to ensure they meet the needs of all residents, including those with disabilities, and remain accessible, inclusive, and well-used.

Walkable, Accessible Neighbourhoods
Our streets, trails, and crossings should invite people to move safely, whether they’re walking, using mobility aids, biking, or pushing a stroller. I support stronger development standards to create universally accessible neighbourhoods with thoughtful urban design that supports independence and inclusion for everyone.

Arts & Culture that Bring Us Together
A healthy city isn’t just physically active, it’s culturally alive. Supporting local artists, grassroots organizations, and creative businesses strengthens our sense of belonging and makes Spruce Grove a place where people thrive through connection and creativity.

Supporting Our Most Vulnerable
I will continue to support the incredible work of organizations and volunteers who help those who are marginalized. These programs make our community stronger, safer, and more compassionate.

Inclusive Growth and Opportunity
A thriving city ensures every resident feels they belong regardless of age, income, or ability. I’ll continue to champion policies that make Spruce Grove a place where everyone has the opportunity to live, grow, and succeed.

Let’s Keep the Conversation Going
I’ve had the opportunity to meet with so many residents and groups who share their ideas for what a healthy, thriving Spruce Grove can be. I’d love to hear yours too, drop me a line here and let’s keep building a city that supports everyone’s well-being.
